Here Come the Fairy Lilies

August seems to be the month for the fairy lilies/rain lilies/zephyranthes. White and yellow ones are blooming non-stop. I haven’t seen the pink ones–maybe August isn’t their month?

i just love these! this spring, the leaves of these little gems sprouted all over my yard. i had no idea what they were just by the foliage, but then i walked out one morning and the yard was white with them! i dedicate these fairy lilies to my little Annie. she love to romp and play amongst them.
