Can anyone identify what this plant is? Not the rubber tree/ficus.  Update –I think it has been positively identified as Texas Mountain Laurel, Sophora secundiflora. I didn’t know that it produces beautiful purple flowers. Now I just have to be patient.  Here’s a link —last season it even had an outbreak of the worms they mentioned.   http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/~harms/MtLaurel.html
Thanks everyone.

    Thanks everyone.

  2. Rachel, I haven’t seen any flowers. I did check out rue and it doesn’t match. This is much taller—almost a tree. Thanks!

  3. I surely cannot identify the plant, but it looks lush, lovely, and green, a pretty change of pace from what we’ve got here in Connecticut right now(and they’re forcasting snow for the weekend??) Thanks for sharing .. .. ..
