Hi – first time looker from Taro ‘n Ti. I’ll take a stab at Lenna’s question. The name “apple” banana (I think) comes from the taste. They have a built-in tartness, sorta like an apple. This makes them easy to eat by the ton and not get tired of them like you would sweet bananas. In Hawaii the apple (aka “Brazilian”) banana is by far and away the most popular one to grow at home.
