Walking Iris Trimezia Steyermarkii

3

This is one of my favorite flowers. The walking iris or Trimezia steyermarkii throws out aerial plantlets from its  stalk.  Then, the weight of the growing plantlets  bends the stalk down towards the ground, causing it to take root and propagate new plants.

I find myself returning to this site over and over..after recently walking beside 2 brothers and my beautiful daughter in law through cancer journeys, this tribute stirs my heart and reminds me of the blessings of beauty that is all around us. Your sister has left her mark through you and your sharing.
