Dale’s Garden has been attacked by Bee Cutters. I first noticed that something was making perfect cuts in the rose leaves. I stood at the window trying to figure out what could carve a perfect half circle. As I was standing there a different looking bee landed on one of the petals and to my amazement like a buzz saw make a perfect cut and flew off with the half circle. So I googled it and read all about the process. I went out to protect the roses and with hose in hand spent a hour spraying the bees with a gentle mist of water. Eventually they stopped—-but guess what—they moved on to get my gardenia tree and this columbine. Nature does some weird stuff.
